On the occasion of the 151st anniversary of the birth of Dr. L\u00e1szl\u00f3 Buday, the Cs\u00e1nyi Foundation’s P\u00e9cs groups commemorated the renowned statistician and laid a wreath on the memorial plaque on the wall of the P\u00e9cs Community House. The representatives of all three groups paid tribute to the scientist by bowing their heads and singing the Hungarian national anthem.<\/p>\n
Dr. L\u00e1szl\u00f3 Buday was born in P\u00e9cs on 27 October 1873, in the property at 21 M\u00e1ty\u00e1s kir\u00e1ly utca, which serves as the P\u00e9cs Community House of the Cs\u00e1nyi Foundation from 2022, and he began his studies in the city. He was an internationally renowned statistician, university professor, former director of the Hungarian Statistical Office and first president of the Hungarian Statistical Society.<\/p>\n
