A Book Club has started in Group 1 in Kaposv\u00e1r, with its first session held on November 9, led by junior mentors Zs\u00f3fia Kada and Zs\u00f3fia Trixler.<\/p>\n

“Our first book was The Magician’s Nephew<\/em> by C.S. Lewis, the first volume in The Chronicles of Narnia<\/em>. It was an interesting choice since it hasn\u2019t been adapted into a movie and can be considered a prequel to the main story. We discussed why each of us did or didn\u2019t enjoy the book and which characters, if any, resonated with us. The story sparked a lively discussion, and we even found some parallels with the modern world. We agreed on the next book selection, hoping to establish a lasting tradition with our Book Club.<\/p>\n

Later that morning, I gave a presentation on cycling safety, a relevant topic in Kaposv\u00e1r given the increasing number of bike paths and the availability of electric bike rentals. The children were enthusiastic, and we had an engaging discussion, which ended with a fun yet informative quiz.<\/p>\n

The work didn\u2019t stop there. During a reading comprehension session, the children wrote a script as part of the Balaton Project, with us university students also lending a hand.”<\/p>\n
