A unique exhibition has opened at the D\u00e9ryn\u00e9 6 Gallery of the J\u00e1szs\u00e1g Community House. This exhibition is special not only because it celebrates the life of our Nobel Prize-winning supporter, Dr. Katalin Karik\u00f3, who turns 70 today\u2014happy birthday to her!<\/em>\u2014but also because her roots in J\u00e1sz-Nagykun-Szolnok County connect her to the location.<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/p>\n

It is a great honor for our Foundation to host this exhibition, as Dr. Katalin Karik\u00f3 has been supporting us for several years. She first became our supporter in 2022, enabling us to launch scientific projects for interested children at several of our Community Houses. At the 2023 Guidance Festival, Katalin joined us virtually from Philadelphia to greet the children. The projects funded by her support have already been published in two editions for our Foundation\u2019s community, with a third installation coming soon!<\/p>\n

At the exhibition opening, N\u00f3ra Pint\u00e9r, a member of the J\u00e1szs\u00e1g 3 group, and Dr. Mikl\u00f3s Radosz\u00e1v, the operational director of the Cs\u00e1nyi Foundation, welcomed the students of Lehel Vez\u00e9r High School and other attendees. The exhibition was officially opened by Dr. Ilona \u00dajsz\u00e1szi, a communications expert at the International and Public Relations Directorate of the University of Szeged.<\/p>\n

A special guest, Istv\u00e1n \u00c1bri, who was not only a neighbor of Dr. Katalin Karik\u00f3 but has also shared a close friendship with her since childhood, shared his memories. His stories brought Dr. Karik\u00f3 closer to everyone, presenting her not as an unapproachable figure but as someone relatable, making it easier for the students to connect with her.<\/p>\n

At the opening, Berta Kisp\u00e1l, a 10th-grade student at Lehel Vez\u00e9r High School, recited a poem (\u00c1gnes Nemes Nagy: Istenr\u0151l).<\/p>\n

Visitors to the exhibition, curated by the University of Szeged, can admire Dr. Karik\u00f3\u2019s university documents and some of her most fascinating science-related awards.<\/strong><\/p>\n

We extend our gratitude to Ilona \u00dajsz\u00e1szi, the curator of the exhibition and communications expert of the University of Szeged, as well as to Istv\u00e1n \u00c1bri for facilitating the transfer of the exhibition to J\u00e1szber\u00e9ny and for presenting the materials in an engaging session to the students of Lehel Vez\u00e9r High School.<\/strong><\/p>\n
