This afternoon, we opened the first solo exhibition of Gerg\u0151 Perlaki, a resident of J\u00e1szber\u00e9ny, at the J\u00e1szber\u00e9ny Community House, D\u00e9ryn\u00e9 6 Gallery. Gerg\u0151 is currently a third-year student at the Faculty of Arts of Eszterh\u00e1zy K\u00e1roly Catholic University, specializing in Environmental Art at the Institute of Fine Arts.<\/p>\n
First, Dr. Mikl\u00f3s Radosz\u00e1v, the Chief Operating Officer of the Cs\u00e1nyi Foundation, welcomed our guests. Then, Kund Kopacz, visual artist and assistant lecturer at the EKKE Faculty of Arts, gave the professional opening speech. During the event, cOOlio enhanced the atmosphere with various sound effects and his own music.<\/p>\n
To our great delight, a large number of visitors attended the opening\u2014not only from J\u00e1szber\u00e9ny but also from Budapest and Szolnok. In addition to the teachers and students representing the Faculty of Arts from Eger, we were also honored by the visit of the department\u2019s African guests, which was a great privilege for us.<\/p>\n
\u201cThe young 21-year-old artist presents to a wider audience his perceptions, observations, and reflections made during two years of university art training and the summer of 2025. His curious gaze is directed toward the sign systems of the built environment, the messages decipherable from natural phenomena, and the way his generation exists in the world. His explorations are noteworthy, as his germinating ideas do not spring from a self-centered private mythology and its magnified concerns, but rather unfold from the general existential experiences of his age group.\u201d
