This academic year started particularly excitingly for me, as thanks to the support of the Cs\u00e1nyi Foundation<\/b>, I had the opportunity to begin the process of obtaining my driving license. I have longed to be able to drive independently for a long time, and now the time has finally come to make this goal a reality.<\/p>\n
Applying for the grant announced by the Cs\u00e1nyi Foundation, I had to meet several criteria to receive a positive assessment. One of these was that I had to give a presentation on safe traffic participation at the Community House. This took place today (December 5, 2025) with the presence of all three P\u00e9cs groups.<\/p>\n
My presentation was titled “Safety Begins with Knowledge,”<\/b> and its essence was to show why it would be important and useful to introduce Highway Code (KRESZ) education in schools. Since the groups are affected by this topic, I thought it was very important to explain safe pedestrian traffic, as we are participants in traffic as pedestrians too, yet we do not necessarily know all the rules that apply to us. Consequently, many accidents occur, a significant part of which could be prevented by acquiring knowledge of traffic rules.<\/p>\n
Thus, I started thinking about why traffic rule education could not be integrated into the process of school learning. In primary school, in the lower grades, mainly through playful learning; in the upper grades, through interactive education; and in high school, the rules of the road can be studied more deeply. Practice is also of great importance; in primary school, this could be acquired on a “mini-city” practice track designed for children, while in high school, even on test tracks designed for adults.<\/p>\n
I was very nervous during my presentation, but it was a great relief that the younger ones showed interest in the topic. This was further confirmed when I received answers to my questions at the end of the presentation, and several people asked me questions regarding the topic of the talk.<\/p>\n
Overall, I found giving a presentation to the younger ones very good and enjoyable, and fortunately, I can conclude it with success. This support provides huge help to me, so I would like to say thank you to the Cs\u00e1nyi Foundation for this, among other things.<\/p>\n
