The Maker\u2019s Red Box project sessions will soon be completed for the Moh\u00e1cs 3 group. Recently, the children have been mastering the program titled “Global Warning \u2013 Climate Expedition Around the World.”<\/p>\n

The central element of the program is a story-based framework in which participants take part in a journey around the world as members of a research vessel’s crew. During the process, they not only learn about environmental interconnections but also develop future-proof, 21st-century key competencies such as critical thinking, complex problem-solving, and collaboration skills. The methodology is based on project-based learning and technological creation, also supporting students in making conscious career choices.<\/p>\n

During the stages of the expedition, attention is focused on critical global phenomena such as ocean acidification, the destruction of coral reefs, and urban air pollution. The goal of the sessions is for students to view climate change not with fear, but with a desire to take action, and to undergo a form of sensitization regarding certain topics.<\/p>\n

In terms of technological implementation, the children modeled their own ship cabins and sustainability solutions using 3D design and printing, while programming and robotics also formed an integral part of the process.<\/p>\n

The group members clearly enjoyed the sessions very much and are excitedly looking forward to presenting their acquired knowledge at the upcoming Guidance Festival.<\/p>\n
