After the lectures I had to complete different programming assignments which were supervised. The final exam at the end incorporated the whole curriculum. In the end I managed to get 19 out of 20 points. I also have received the Certificate. I highly recommend Coursera to anyone as it offers a wide range on courses for all interests, mostly in English.
