On our way to Transylvania.<\/p>\n

The day, which we very much have been waiting for finally came. Early in the morning we began our trip to Transylvania, to start off the historical and homeland studying camp in Cs\u00edkszereda. The 3rd group of Kaposv\u00e1r met with the 1st group of J\u00e1szs\u00e1g. After a short break in J\u00e1szber\u00e9ny, we had lunch right before the Romanian border in Beretty\u00f3\u00fajfalu. Then we headed towards the border. Although there was still a long way ahead of us, the wonderful landscape of Transylvania made us forget the struggles of the trip. We arrived at our accomodation late in the night, where we were greeted with love and kindness. After finishing our delicious dinner we discussed the programmes of the upcoming day then everyone checked into their rooms to have a much needed good night sleep after the long lasting trip.<\/p>\n

Transylvania day 2<\/p>\n

Having rested after the long trip of yesterday we began our day with a lovely breakfast. With our guide Hortenzia Nemes we went to see the main sights of Cs\u00edkszereda. Angel church, the Square of Applauses and Mik\u00f3 castle were our main destinations today. We expanded our knowledge with a lot of interesting facts and had the chance to visit a bunch of beautiful places. Meanwhile we also had time to eat icecream and have fun together. Before lunch we walked up to the museum of the county, where we\u00a0 got to know a lot of things about the everyday life of the local farmers. In the afternoon we played football in the G\u00e1bor \u00c1ron High School which we very much enjoyed doing. We are over a much entertaining and interactive day and are curiously waiting for the following days of the camp.<\/p>\n

3. day<\/p>\n

Because of the pouring rain we began our day at\u00a0 a wellness in Tasn\u00e1df\u00fcrd\u0151. It was very relieving to rest a little bit after our tiring year, so we would love to go back. The sun started to shine, so we left the spa. We went to see the local churches and than we continued the day with a delicious lunch. Our way led to a look-out tower where the lucky ones could spot a little bear. We visited the Nyergestet\u0151i-memorial and after that some people, who voluteered could go on a trip to the top of a mountain, where a really beautiful view waited for them. We went back to the acccomondation with some great experiance.<\/p>\n

5th day at Transylvania:<\/p>\n

At Monday we started the day at Sz\u00e9kelyudvarhely, where we visited the wars szekler victims\u2019 memorial park and next to the monument we visited the bust of famous szekler people who influenced the hungarian history. They were hungarian kings, politics and princes. After that we visited the world wide famous Saltmine of Parajd, which by it huge sizes could supply the salt transport of Europe for years.\u00a0 We spend a small time here, and we could learn the history of the mine, about its mining history. After the cave we experienced the authentic szekler lunch, which was provided by the hosts\u2019 family\u2019s made homemade products. After lunch we visited Korond, where we could see the szekler craft industry beauties, speciality and we could by ourselves small thing from these products. For the end of the day we visited the grave of \u00c1ron Tam\u00e1si at Farkaslaka, which became a place of pilgrimage, where we could resign our honour, for the hungarian and Transylvanian literature famous writer.<\/p>\n

6th Day at Transylvania:<\/p>\n

Today after the breakfast we started our day with free time activity at Cs\u00edkszereda. We visited many thing from the town\u2019s centre the \u201eTaps\u201d- square and we could take part at many cultural events. We visited the town’s market, and we could go to the most beautiful markets under Nemes Hortenzia\u2019s lead. We had the lunch at Cs\u00edksomly\u00f3 at \u201cCs\u00edksomly\u00f3i\u201d-road in the Jakab Antal House, about which Horztenzia told us many interesting things. We learnt the house was the town\u2019s hall, but the local szeklers didn\u2019t want the town\u2019s hall to be in the centre, so they moved out of the building, which is a guesthouse nowadays. After the tasty lunch we wnt to Tusn\u00e1df\u00fcrd\u0151, where we met with Balla Szabolcs, who show us the adventure park of Tusn\u00e1df\u00fcrd\u0151. We tried many paths and we had a great time at the edge of the \u201cTusn\u00e1di\u201d-lake. After the adventure park we visited the nearby Hungarian church exhausted. The dinner we started on a special way, the late awakers compensate their fault by serving our dinner. We had a pretty great time, we are waiting the next day\u2019s programs.<\/p>\n

7th Day at Transylvania:<\/p>\n

We started this day visiting the monument of mad\u00e9falvi scourge. Then we went to L\u00e1z\u00e1r Castle which was closed unfortunately but we walked around it and had a tour in Sz\u00e1rhegy. The next station was a lookout tower where was a huge cattle horde. We were amazed by the view but we had to go to Red Lake where we hiked around the Lake in the rain. After the trip we had the opportunity to taste the local specialities like puliszka and miccs. We got to know that in Romania people often eat puliszka instead of bread. In Cs\u00edkd\u00e1nfalva we visited the church, after that we tried the local spring\u2019s medicinal water in Zs\u00f6g\u00f6d. After all these trips the owner of Nagy Imre Gallery showed us the painter\u2019s masterpieces and told us about his life. We finished the day with a short talk the whole week. Some of us also made a performance which guaranteed the great mood of the last night of the camp. Thank you for this wonderful week, everyone enjoyed staying here and we hope that next year we will have as memorable camp as this was.<\/p>\n

hat was the first time when I taked part in a local history voltunteer camp like a group leader! In this camp I learned a lot, i was toghetet with a lot of children who take cares of each other ,all of them were appreciative and friendly! I was happy that i have to had introduced my homeland! That was interesting for the others who dont know nothing about my culture and history. For me is very important to accept each others too, and i was sucessfull with this group! I think this camp for me was a big discovery,I learned a lot about the history and about the other people life too! I think too this camp will memorable for the children and for me too! The pictures which taked during the camp are spoken themselves, everybody had done the exercises, not at the least about hiking too! Like volunteer I tried to collect the important information, and the items about the stations,which can expand,deepen the youngs range of vision! Of my greatest joy everybody was interested of my show and heard with opened ear! I hope the students get fancy too visit Transyilvania in the future too!:)<\/span><\/p>\n

Hortenzia Nemes<\/p>\n

It was my second time coming to the camp of the Cs\u00e1nyi Foundation. Therefore when I got on the bus I met with familiar faces. Before the camp I never had the chance to travel to Transilvania so I was very excited. Although the place was wonderful for me the best part of the week was getting an inside view of the everyday life and situation of the guys at Cs\u00e1nyi Foundation. My job was to translate the daily reports and looking after the others when we went to watch the World Cup in the evenings. Overall just as last year I am richer with a whole bunch of new experiences and memories which I am very greatful of. I really hope that next time I will be able to attend the camp as well.<\/span><\/p>\n
