Daniel’s main interest is literature and he is doing his PhD study in Szeged. He came to us to share some ideas with the students about literature, reading habits and what literature means for us.
During the discussion we learned many new and interesting things, which can help us to see literature, novels and poems not as a compulsory thing but as a constructive free time activity. Through two well-known novels – Harry Potter and The Lord of the Rings – we observed how a piece of literary work is built up and a character or motive can be seen from many different perspectives depending on our thoughts, feelings and mood. We examined The Tyger by William Blake so we could see how many ideas and thoughts are behind and between the lines of a poem.
We discussed what is the main source of information for us. At the end of the discussion we could write out our thoughts and feelings and what and how we felt during the discussion and we realised how many things we can write in a few minutes. Now we know that reading and writing are not as dangerous as some may think. Above all these things, we had the chance to practice English as Daniel was talking with us only in English.
Thank you Daniel for this unconventional discussion on literature!
Groups 1 and 2 of Szeged

Sorry, this entry is only available in Magyar.

[1,8

post-4023","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","has-post-thumbnail","hentry","category-egyeb","category-szeged
["GET
