The eighteen students participating successfully on Cs\u00e1nyi Foundation and Bonafarm Group\u2019s tender, named \u2018Cockle leaf clean wheat\u2019 could travel to B\u00f3ly and B\u00e1r on a field trip on 5th October.<\/p>\n

Sunny, beautiful autumn morning welcomed us this morning for the happiness of all of us. The bus with the children from Nagybajom left to P\u00e9cs at 6:30 in the morning where the other field trip travellers joined the group. Our fellow Cs\u00e1nyi students from Szeged spent the night in Hunter Hotel, B\u00f3ly-B\u00e9k\u00e1spuszta where they had arrived on Friday evening. The groups met in B\u00f3ly in front of the headquarters office of B\u00f3ly Zrt.<\/p>\n
Freshly baked scones waited us in the conference room where Mach\u00e1ty B\u00e9la deputy CEO of B\u00f3ly Zrt. and Vad\u00e1sz Attila Sector Manager for Horticulture introduced the work and activities of B\u00f3ly Zrt. Now we know what happens on the way between wheat seed and bread.
\nOn the farmlands near Kislipp\u00f3 we saw soil work before planting and we got first hand experience what it feels like sitting and driving agricultural machineries.<\/p>\n
Around B\u00f3ly watching soy harvesting was the programme; we heard about the process of harvesting and thanks to the organisers we could sit on and go for a ride in the huge John Deere combine harvesters.<\/p>\n
Delicious lunch was served in Hunter Hotel in B\u00f3ly-B\u00e9k\u00e1spuszta.
\nThe next station of the field trip was the conference room of the poultry farm in B\u00e1r. Baby chicken stroking was the peak of the day. Dr M\u00e9k\u00e1n Lajos veterinary had an interesting and child centred lecture and video show on the phases of hatching. The lecture was followed by a quiz and good answers were awarded with valuable and useful prizes by Boda Gabriella, leader of B\u00e1r poultry farm. Our field trip ended here and we travelled home to the community houses.<\/p>\n
