\u201cJ\u00e1szs\u00e1g Group 4 loves adventures, nature and fun togetherness. The group of 16 children from 8 settlements enters the Community House in J\u00e1szber\u00e9ny in the capital of J\u00e1szs\u00e1g and we wanted to get to know the values \u200b\u200band sights of each other’s settlements. Thus, the slogan of one of our summer projects is: “Get to know J\u00e1szs\u00e1g!” became and in five days we traveled through the children’s settlements on a hiking trail we dreamed of. In the first round, the families helped to map their own village and together with the children they made a description of the sights and a hiking trail, then photos were taken of the buildings and landscapes. We have continuously shared these compilations with you on the website. Then we went with these whole groups through these settlements, where the locals welcomed and navigated us with all kinds of delicacies and immeasurable hospitality. \u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cIt was a great pleasure when it turned out that I would have the opportunity to help as a small mentor during the J\u00e1szs\u00e1g Group 4 project week. Although the execution had to be solved in a completely different way, I nevertheless think that we managed to have unforgettable experiences for everyone. Between August 10 and 14, we got to know our own home, J\u00e1szs\u00e1g, where we discovered a lot of treasures that have been hidden for us so far. We took turns visiting the surrounding towns and villages where the members of the group live and the children living in the area talked enthusiastically about their settlement. It\u2019s interesting to experience that many times we don\u2019t notice the values \u200b\u200bthat are here in front of our noses. I\u2019m sure it was a special adventure for every participant. Thank you for spending this week with this enthusiastic little team! \u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cWe were looking forward to this day, when the 4th group of J\u00e1szs\u00e1g met. The first stop of the trip was the Hamza Museum in J\u00e1szber\u00e9ny, where there are permanent and temporary exhibitions. The museum director presented the life and works of art of the Hamza couple (watercolor, charcoal pencil drawing, oil paint, wooden carved sculpture, personal items, textiles). Most of the works of art were made by her husband, \u00c1kos D. Hamza (painter and sculptor, film director, producer, poet). The clothes of his wife, M\u00e1ria Hamza Lehel (fashion designer, draftsman, journalist) were also presented, which I really liked. The museum is divided into two parts: Hamza Collection and J\u00e1sz Gallery. The Hamza Collection features the works of the couple, while the J\u00e1sz Gallery features the outstanding artists. We then went to the River Restaurant where we passed the time with a joint bowling game and then had lunch. In the afternoon we talked on the playground and had a good time. Everyone returned home pleasantly tired. \u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cThe second day in the morning we were guests of the Equestrian Center in J\u00e1szals\u00f3szentgy\u00f6rgy, where we could try boating and fishing, and then we went by bus (horse-drawn carriage) to the nearby mill, which currently serves as an event hall, but we could try manual grinding. After lunch we took a walk in the shade of the trees of the Vadaspark, then we continued to J\u00e1szlad\u00e1ny, where we could get to know the beautifully renovated large hall of the House of Culture and its history with the help of the kind workers. At the end of the day, we even looked at the monuments in the main square of the village. \u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cOn the third day of our J\u00e1szs\u00e1g tour, our first stop was at the J\u00e1szj\u00e1k\u00f3halom mill, where we received a very nice welcome. Uncle Chief Miller led us through the mill area, introduced us to each work process, we learned how different flours are made, how wheat will be made into flour. It was interesting to look at how many machines are controlled by computer control. The next stop was J\u00e1szap\u00e1tin. We had lunch and then visited the beautifully restored church. We looked at the statues erected in the main square, including the statue of painter P\u00e1l V\u00e1g\u00f3, the memorial to the soldiers who fell in the First World War, the statue of St. Stephen and Gizella, and finally went to the House of Culture, designed by Imre Makovecz and the buildings opposite. \u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cWe visited J\u00e1noshida on Thursday morning and Alatty\u00e1n in the afternoon. We spent the morning in J\u00e1noshida in the room next to the Library, where Uncle Misi, one of the supervisors of the workshop, greeted us. We walked with him to the church, where we went to see the sculptures and paintings. In the church – which is more than 800 years old – we could even see the original wall and solve a playful task. We then did a ride in the churchyard. From there we went to the castle, which unfortunately we could not enter because it is under renovation. We even went to Sebesty\u00e9n Albert Square next to the castle to see the statues. Then we went back to the village house where we sudoku and rested a bit because after that we set off again for the playground where we spent an hour. After lunch we went to Alatty\u00e1n, where we visited the \u00c1rp\u00e1d Gecse memorial house. We could see a lot of interesting sculptures and paintings. From here we went over to the local history exhibition where we looked at folk utensils and costumes. This day was super like the others. \u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cWe spent the last day of the camp in J\u00e1szber\u00e9ny. In the morning we were at the J\u00e1sz Museum, where we were introduced to the museum in great detail during the guided tour. Right away, the front door was interesting to us because it was made of wrought iron and featured symbols of various professions that we had to invent. We looked at the history of our ancestors, Lehel\u2019s horn and J\u00e1sz costumes, as well as customs and crafts. They were then shown where they used to live because they hunted because they fished. At the temporary exhibition we could also see the clothes of fashion designer M\u00e1ria Hamza Lehel.
