On 3 June, all members of the J\u00e1szs\u00e1g 3 group competed at the Faculty of Pedagogy and Psychology of E\u00f6tv\u00f6s Lor\u00e1nd University in Budapest. We entered the Student Project<\/em> High School Project Competition in the autumn with four topics. Based on the presentations and short films submitted for the preliminary round, all four projects made it to the national finals, where 30 teams were selected from more than 90 projects. In the final round, the students had to present their work to the jury with a short presentation, followed by questions and advice.<\/p>\n

Congratulations to the J\u00e1szs\u00e1g 3 group! I am very proud of all the members, because they have worked very hard on their projects, their perseverance, motivation and solidarity are an example for their peers and the younger ones! Thank you to the volunteers Ter\u00e9zia Cs\u00f6rg\u0151, Katalin F\u00fcl\u00f6pn\u00e9 Paksi, Istv\u00e1n Bugyi and my colleague: Andrea H\u00e1benciusn\u00e9 Balla for their self-sacrificing, enthusiastic work, which they did with so much love! AM\u00d6R team: Tam\u00e1s Sebesty\u00e9n, Andr\u00e1s Mih\u00e1ly Ol\u00e1h, Istv\u00e1n Bugyi developer teacher, Krist\u00f3f Kaszab, Ferenc Horv\u00e1th, M\u00e1rk Sz\u00fccs<\/p>\n

“The AM\u00d6R team entered the competition with our Automatic High Bed Irrigation System, which we perfected after several months of work with developer teacher Istv\u00e1n Bugyi. After some waiting and testing, our team was next. We were able to give a successful presentation and the jury members gave us very positive feedback. After that, we also participated in a small session where we could present our project with personal experiences in a game, and while waiting we also gave an interview, we were asked different questions about how this competition could be even better. After that the results were announced, the AM\u00d6R team came 2nd! We were very happy, everything went well for the team and all the hard work paid off! Finally, we ended the day with a small outing to the Citadel, where we celebrated this great result, a successful school year and toasted with a glass of kids’ Champagne.” Ferenc Horv\u00e1th J\u00e1szs\u00e1g Group 3<\/p>\n

“I’m happy that my group mates and I were able to show how much we’ve done in the last period at a national competition. We all worked on some kind of project and presented the results to a jury of 5 judges at the Student Project Competition. Our presentation was very well done and at the end of the day we received a Special Award, which I am very proud of. I feel that our sub-project against Food Waste was worth all the effort, as it was a great way to end our year-long project. It would not have been possible without the many helpful and supportive people who helped us to move forward, but most of the credit goes to Katalin F\u00fcl\u00f6pn\u00e9 Paksi, our enthusiastic volunteer, without whom this journey would not have been so easy.” Gyula Pege J\u00e1szs\u00e1g Group 3<\/p>\n

Sustainable clothing project: Tilda Tamasi , Andrea H\u00e1benciusn\u00e9 Balla mentor, Orsolya Varga, N\u00f3ra Lili Orosz<\/p>\n

“We have been working with the sustainable clothing project for more than two years. We were really looking forward to the day of the competition as we wanted to show what we could do with it. The team was eager to prepare for the moment of presentation. Watching our group mates, we were waiting for our turn. When the moment came, we presented our work with a little trepidation, but enthusiasm. The encouraging opinion of the jury showed us that it was worth working on for several years. We are very happy that our project has come this far and we hope to be able to pass on the knowledge we have gained here to our fellow students in the future.” Tilda Tamasi J\u00e1szs\u00e1g Group 3<\/p>\n

Water analysis project: Ter\u00e9zia Cs\u00f6rg\u0151 volunteer, Evelin \u00c9va Kis, Oliv\u00e9r K\u00f3czi\u00e1n, N\u00f3ra Pint\u00e9r<\/p>\n

“We were excited to present our projects to the jury. We didn’t get a place, but we are happy to have made it this far and to have been able to work together on this project and to have gained a lot of knowledge. This competition was very good for gaining experience on how such a project work is done and how such a project presentation can be presented in a more colourful way. After the competition we visited the Citadel where we went for a walk together and even flew a kite.” Evelin \u00c9va Kis J\u00e1szs\u00e1g Group 3<\/p>\n
