Cs\u00e1nyi Winery<\/p>\n

“As an opportunity of the Bonafarm “Practice makes perfect” competition, we participated in a professional day at the Cs\u00e1nyi Winery in Vill\u00e1ny. During the programme, Nikolett K\u00f6vesdi, Operational Purchasing Manager, told us about the company’s operations. She presented the SAP ERP system used in her daily activities, emphasizing how it makes her work easier. The system includes many automated processes, such as automatic e-mail writing and sending to suppliers and other companies. All of these functionalities are developed in-house by the group, and are performed by the group’s own staff instead of the employees. He then gave us a tour of the winery, showing us the large containers and barrels in which they keep all that wine, as well as the winery’s own cave and Mr President’s own collection from a distance. It was very useful and interesting for us, we gained a lot of new experience and our knowledge in this field was also greatly increased. Thank you for the opportunity!”

“Today (10.31.) we had the opportunity to take a look at the Cs\u00e1nyi Winery in Vill\u00e1ny and its operation. We started the morning with a small walk around the machinery used for vine cultivation. We learned that the grapes are harvested with one machine, of which there are three in the winery. They also use a combine harvester, a fertilizer spreader, a sprayer and a soil spreader. Harvesting is 98% mechanised, with almost no manual harvesting. The site has 400 hectares of land on which they grow a wide variety of grapes, which are later used to make wine. The oldest vines are 25 years old and the youngest are planted this year. There are 7 varieties of white grapes and 10 varieties of blue grapes. They are cultivated in 4 different ways: cordon, umbrella, semi-umbrella and guyot. We were shown these. We were able to see a live demonstration of the soil loosening process, which is done to make it easier for rainfall to reach the vines and to cut the roots from the sides. After that we were given a glimpse into the cellar of Cs\u00e1nyi Winery, where we were greeted by bottled and barreled wines. We were shown the process of turning grapes into wine in a matter of days. The winery produces and sells 2.5 million bottled wines a year. We thank Bonafarm for the positive decision on our application and for the opportunity. Originally I applied for the position of guality assurance, but the lady who welcomed me showed me not only her work aera, but also the work of the other people who are working there. Everyone was very helpful and open-minded, I learned many new things yesterday. There are five plants in Hungary, but only that plant exports to Romania. Different rules apply to local and Hungarian customers. All goods received from suppliers are inspected and registered in the MEO, and ready meals are also inspected. In this case, they have to meet different criteria (protein, moisture content). If the value of the product falls within or above the specified criteria, the product can be released. If it is not much lower, then the quality assurance officer can make a decision on whether or not it can be released. Yesterday\u2019s visit exceeded all my expectations, I didn\u2019t think this job could be so diverse.
