”The Moh\u00e1cs tradition of the Sokac people, well-known far and wide, provided us with an extraordinary day at the Community Center during the Bus\u00f3j\u00e1r\u00e1s festival. First, Andor gave us a lecture. He explained that in Moh\u00e1cs, the origin of the tradition is also explained with the legend of defeating the Turks, although this has no historical basis. The first records of the appearance of this folk custom date back to the end of the 18th century. After the lecture, a group of Bus\u00f3s visited us. They were kind enough to let us try on their masks. They had rattles, bells, and clubs made of wood with them. We also walked into the town, through the main street to Sz\u00e9chenyi Square, and then to the banks of the Danube. We saw many people dressed up, including sokac girls, jankel\u00e9s, and vendors. This year, more than 2500 participants dressed up for the parade. By the time we returned to the Community Center, Aunt Erika and Aunt Annam\u00e1ria had made delicious doughnuts for us. We had the opportunity to do crafts in the afternoon, where we made Bus\u00f3 fridge magnets.
