On Saturday, the National Final of the First Lego League Challenge competition took place in Szigetszentmikl\u00f3s, in which we also participated. Our team, J\u00e1sz-Stones, made it into the top 16 teams in the country. During the morning, our innovation project called VUK (Universal Communication for the Blind) was tested by our competitors and visitors. To facilitate this, we set up a stand at the venue where testers could experience the situation of visually impaired individuals using tablets and headphones. Additionally, they could create our symbolic figure while blindfolded. Through these tests, we got to know our competitors and made many new friends.<\/p>\n

In the afternoon, we presented our innovation and robot design work. We were very anxious to present all the important aspects to the professional jury as the scoring system was very strict. In the end, we felt that our presentation was well-received by the judges.<\/p>\n

Next came the final robot run, during which everyone was very nervous, and we tried to give our best, cheered on by both supporters and team members. It was a tense and exhausting day for us. The competition didn’t end there, as our innovation made it to the top three, so we presented our project again on the main stage for all the teams. During the award ceremony, we were all very nervous, and finally, we saw our team name on the screen.<\/p>\n

The J\u00e1sz-Stones team won the Best Innovation Award at the FLL National Final! We were thrilled as we had worked tirelessly on our development. Then came the big moment to announce which five teams would advance to the international final. To our great surprise, we were among the top 5 teams from the final 16, advancing to one of the International finals.<\/p>\n
