Learning methodology training

Learning methodology training

At the Csányi Foundation, every “freshman” participates in an intensive learning methodology training, the first part of which took place at the Sarlóspuszta Freshman Camp, while the remaining sessions are held at the Pécs Community House with the Pécs Group 2 at the beginning of the school year.

The primary goal of the learning methodology training is to ensure that students begin upper primary school well-prepared. Before studying specific learning methods or getting to know new strategies, it is essential to conduct a self-assessment, during which students explore their attitude toward learning, existing study habits, daily time management, and the presence of inner qualities that support effective learning.

In addition to developing critical thinking, the training focused—though not exclusively—on the following key areas: identifying main ideas, making outlines, organizational skills, visual memory, observation practice, tolerance for monotony, text comprehension, clear speech, forming coherent explanations, and reducing anxiety.

During just a few hours, many useful topics were discussed, leading to the valuable realization that from time to time, we all need to reconsider our time management and strive to form good habits, as these greatly influence our lives.

The training will continue in October.
