Exam period in Szentes
At the end of November, it was time to take the fourth ICDL exam. Two weeks after the instructive mock exam, we traveled to the Hódmezővásárhely exam center to report on our knowledge of the Online Basics module. By then, we had repeated the tasks and questions that had proven problematic during the mock exam several times, so we were already confident about the opportunity. We were very happy, as almost all of us passed the exam and completed it with an average score of around 90 percent.
But this was not the end of the week for us. On Saturday, the oral round of the Foundation’s language competition awaited both German and English learners. Two committees operated in the presence of our mentors. This time, the work of the German students was also monitored by uncle Miklós, who sat next to uncle István, the online examiner from Szeged. The English language learners were “interrogated” by Hanna Szép and Gábor Berta, but a conversation would be a more appropriate term, as most of us passed this test smiling.
Overall, we are happy that we have passed these two tests, and especially that most of us can now hold the ICDL exam certificate in our hands, which also gives us a sense of security – in addition to the knowledge acquired – for the upcoming Portfolio Defense. After that, we will focus fully on the foreign language exams in February, so that they go as smoothly as possible. We thank the Foundation for preparing us for these important milestones! -Szentes 1st and Szentes 2nd group beneficiaries
