The feast of the heart
On Saturday afternoon, not only the city’s Advent whirlwind was dressed in finery, but also the Community Center and us parents with our children. “We gave it our all” – as they say around here. But you could also put it this way: we dressed up, inside and out, worthy of the holiday and the performance. After we received our tickets, we walked together to the Szentes Christmas tree for a photo, and then to the Tóth József Theater and Entertainment: at the foundation’s Christmas celebration, we could watch the folk dance gala titled “The feast of the Heart”. The Jövőnkért Folk Dance Ensemble gave a lively gala show at the Tóth József Theater, which provided a great experience for all participants. The large hall of the theater was filled with the sounds of violins and dulcimers, and the stage was dusty with the clatter of shoes and boots. Beautiful movements, clothes, colors and dancers alternated, from the youngest to the elderly with graying mustaches but still nimble feet. After a while, our feet also followed the rhythm of the invigorating music unnoticed, and our hands itched from the many applauses. The energetic dances and the high-quality performance created a real festive atmosphere.

Returning to the community center, after the kind words of our mentors, we received the Bonafarm group’s best wishes, a huge Christmas package, and the Yearbook was handed over, which the children took home with great joy, and then the Christmas family celebration began. A good-natured sandwich party followed, to which the parents’ delicious cake offerings made the table complete. Anyone who wanted to ate, drank, and took Christmas pictures together at the beautiful photo point surrounded by elves, we laughed, talked, and made plans. Balázs Nagy’s short film, which summarized the programs of the past year, was a special experience – as a touching and inspiring look back.
The event was a truly wonderful afternoon and evening for everyone. We, who can be members of the Csányi family, are grateful that we can experience the “Holiday of HEART” every day, through the many selfless support, development, conversations, mentoring and love that we have received and continue to receive here! – Eszter Csernákné Bába and Gulyás Szilvia parents
