Financial Awareness – It Can’t Be Started Early Enough
The first program of the year took place on January 17th at the community house in Nagybajom. Within the framework of the “Parents’ Academy” program series, trainers from the OTP Fáy András Foundation held an interactive presentation for NB1 children and their parents. The theme was financial awareness, which – thanks to our generational and character diversity – we managed to explore in a very multifaceted way.
Divided into two groups, we familiarized ourselves with the topic through discussions and playful tasks, covering the concepts of needs, income, and expenses. It is important for children to be familiar with money management terms and the basics of financial literacy even at this age. An excellent tool for mastering this was “Banking”, a card game created through the collaboration of the OTP Fáy András Foundation and the Hungarian National Bank.
The most enjoyable and perhaps most educational part of our time spent together was the card game. We learned from it that our children, who were our rivals during the game, are certainly not lost in the world of loans, insurance, and transactions!
Thank you for the opportunity! Once again, we have been enriched with new perspectives and shared experiences!
