Science Clubs in Szeged during fall

On the first class of the Science Club in October the students got known the instruments in the Community House and our prior researches.

On our second class we visited the Botanic Garden of Szeged where Foundation member and forestry student Turuczki Szabolcs and volunteer Benczúr Izabella, a biologist presented the most important trees in Hungary.

The next day we harvested the fish in the Community House’s pond with the students of the Photo Club.

We keep the harvested goldfish in the House until warmer days will come. Until that we are examining them.

On Oct 26th 2018 the students of the Science Club from Group 2 of Szeged visited the Botanic Garden of the University of Szeged.
We learned about trees, we got known for instance the oak, common yew and white birch.

We learned a lot of interesting things, for example that all parts of the common yew is toxic except for its seed coat.
As the end of the day we practiced photography a bit.

Next day, on the 27th some of us harvested the fish in the pond and prepared the place where the earthworms will stay during the winter.
Each of us could also emblematically adopt a fish who we will feed and measure during the winter. Everyone named their fish. They were given funny names, such as Picúr, Gülüke, Orin and Boni.

My fish is called Picúr and it is white and has a red mark on its head.
The weekend was very exciting, and on the behalf of my groupmates I can say that we felt excellent together.
