In the finale of the “Mohács 500” project
During the weekend sessions, the members of the Mohács Community House have long been not only expanding their subject knowledge but are also preparing for the Mohács 500 project, which will be presented at the Guidance Festival.
Honoring the 500th anniversary of the Battle of Mohács, the groups are designing an installation for the upcoming Guidance Festival, the execution of which they have been working on at full speed for months. The preparations began years ago with a historical exploration of the topic, when the jubilee anniversary was still far off.
The children became acquainted with the tools of the era through mini history lessons and playful tasks, and later delved deeper into the processes. The historical preparatory sessions are held for the children by Andor Kern, a final-year student of Political Science at ELTE, while the plans and the management of the implementation are thanks to design engineer Katinka Kálló.
Weapons, gastronomy, clothing, and many other interesting facts, the details of which we cannot reveal – however, it is certain that it will occupy visitors at the venue for some time.
