Advent Family Day

Advent Family Day

On December 5, 2025, the four groups of the Jászság Community House organized the Advent Family Day together.

In December, as every year, the end of the year arrived, marking a truly festive occasion in the Community House. Children and their families started gathering in the early afternoon, and the house soon filled with cheer and conversation. A host of programs awaited the arrivals: arts and crafts, group games, and friendly chats created a wonderful atmosphere. One of the most important aspects of this day is that families can be together. It is always a special joy to spend a meaningful, pleasant afternoon with our loved ones. Parents engage in deep conversations at these times, and these occasions are not only enjoyable but also truly instructive. As a conclusion to the year, we were once again able to enjoy the closing show organized by the children, which fills everyone with touching and intimate feelings every year. We thank the Foundation for its support throughout the year. Happy holidays to everyone!

“At the Advent celebration, it wasn’t just the arts and crafts and the performance that provided a shared experience, but also the Tea House conversation organized for parents, which offered a space for the exchange of experiences. During the discussion, we talked about attitudes toward the Foundation, the significance of the parent-mentor relationship, and supporting the mental well-being of children and parents.

The goal of the Advent Tea House was for parents to openly share their everyday experiences and dilemmas, and to share practical advice about the parental role while helping one another. I believe such occasions are especially valuable, as opportunities rarely arise for parents to talk in a safe environment about such delicate or difficult topics as maintaining a child’s motivation, recognizing emotional struggles, or finding the right professional help. These questions often place a heavy burden and uncertainty on adults, which can even affect the children. An honest, supportive conversation is often a relief and has preventive power in itself. It is important to highlight that lasting anxiety, burnout, or loss of interest can be states that require professional support.

It fills me with joy that I could moderate this conversation. I believe that such occasions can offer real help and reassurance to parents, and through them, to the children as well.”

“During the arts and crafts session, my group was together again, as we helped the little ones and our peers as well. It was a great joy to see the team together again, and it recharged us even more to create something useful in the process. Interested families and students could get creative at three different tables, where we assisted with the utmost attention when needed. Wooden and paper Christmas decorations were made, which will hopefully preserve the memory of this day in the future.

After buzzing days full of university exams, it was a real recharge to finally return to such a place close to our hearts. We flipped through this year’s yearbook with great joy, shared good smiles at ourselves, and looked through the pictures of the other Community Houses with interest. A special gift for me was the publication from this year’s All-Arts Camp, which I think turned out very beautiful—thank you very much!”

“On Friday, the Advent Family Day took place in an intimate atmosphere at the Jászberény Community House, where parents and children could prepare for the holidays together. The festive program was opened by the beautiful Christmas dance of Jászság Group 2, which was a great success among those present. Following this, Emília Peták, a talented member of Jászság Group 2, performed a wonderful Christmas song, accompanied live by her peers on violin, piano, and flute.

As part of the show, Barbara Bajzáth from Jászság Group 1 also took the stage, delighting the audience with a song played on the electric guitar.

In the second half of the program, under the leadership of the mentors, children and parents separated for discussions within their groups. This was followed by the distribution of Christmas packages offered by the Bonafarm Group, for which we would like to express our gratitude. This support is a great help to every family and makes the holiday preparations easier.

It was wonderful to be together with parents and friends, to experience touching moments together, and to gain new experiences. We would like to take this opportunity to thank the Csányi Foundation and the Bonafarm Group for the support and the opportunity!”
