Advent at the Támasz Foundation

Advent at the Támasz Foundation

On December 12, the Women’s Temporary Shelter and Night Shelter of the Támasz Foundation was filled with a special sense of warmth. Members of the Pécs Group 1 and Pécs Group 3 arrived with an Advent performance to bring a little joy, hope, and care into the everyday lives of the women living there, and they also presented them with a modest food donation.

The poems recited spoke of faith, hope, and the power of togetherness, putting into words the message of the Advent season: that the greatest gift is the attention we give to one another. For us, it is important that care and voluntary help should feel natural not only as the holidays approach, but on every day of the year.

Following the performance, as a sign of their hospitality, the women living at the shelter treated us to homemade cakes, syrup, and Santa chocolates. Alongside the treats, sincere conversations, smiles, and intimate moments were shared—experiences that left a deep impression on all of our hearts.

That evening, we all experienced that giving is at least as much a gift as receiving—perhaps even more uplifting. We are grateful for these moments we shared together, and we have decided to continue this beautiful tradition in the future.
