Áron Dombi’s Exhibition

Áron Dombi’s Exhibition

“It was a great honor for me to host today’s exhibition at the Déryné 6 Gallery in Jászberény. First, Dr. Miklós Radoszáv, the operational director, welcomed the guests, followed by Anna Milotai, who opened the exhibition with a professional perspective and spoke about the fascinating works on display. My groupmate, Emília Peták, whom we were all very excited for, learned a new song and performed it beautifully at the opening. The many visitors greatly enjoyed the exhibition.

Áron Dombi, a young visual artist from the Jászság region, answered our questions at the end of the opening and shared the background stories behind his artworks — for example, why some portraits are made using spices, or why some of his pieces feature black and white mesh. Personally, my favorite work was ‘Because of the Money’. Its story is something I could hardly have imagined; it reflects reality in such a powerful and fascinating way.

Congratulations to Áron, and we wish him much success! Those interested in the exhibition can visit it until November 8 at the Déryné 6 Gallery.”

Áron Dombi’s first solo exhibition moves away from traditional fine art techniques, working instead with natural materials and processes. In his works, both form and material carry meaning — salt, rust, leaves, spices, and other organic elements become tools of expression. The concept of ‘guided coincidence’ aptly describes his creative approach: while each piece is carefully planned, nature plays a major shaping role. His recurring themes include the human being and its relationship with nature, transience, and time. His works do not only reflect on mortality but also remind us of the beauty and value of life itself.

The exhibition serves as an exclamation mark – a celebration of life and existence, fully aware of their impermanence.
