Award for University Sports
On the Day of Hungarian Higher Education and the Day of the City of Pécs, I had the honor of receiving the Award for University Sports at the Opening Senate Session of the Academic Year.
This award may be granted by the Rector of the University to individuals or organizations who, through their active participation, selfless work, and outstanding sporting or sports-organizing achievements, have worthily enhanced the reputation of our University. I personally received the award in recognition of my professional work as a sports coach and for the mental support I provide to the athletes entrusted to me.
I am deeply grateful to all those who stand by me and support me on this wonderful journey we call life. I am thankful to the children I get to coach, because I believe that I do not only train them, but I also learn a great deal from them. I strive to be a worthy role model for them. I also owe thanks to the Csányi Foundation, which always supports me in my dual career, both in sports and in my university studies.
I feel that the words engraved on the award are profoundly true: “Sub pondere crescit palma.” — The palm tree grows under burden.
