Electric Scooters in Traffic
“I delivered my presentation regarding the ‘Ready, Set, Drive!’ competition at the end of January. At the beginning of my lecture, I talked about the opportunities provided by the grant and the requirements for winning it, as this form of support can offer immense help in financing a driver’s license. The theme and title of my presentation was ‘Electric Scooters in Traffic.’ I considered it important to prepare a presentation on this topic and to discuss it, as we hear about scooter accidents in the news every single day. The regulation of electric scooters is also included among future traffic law (KRESZ) amendments. First of all, we clarified the differences between electric scooters and bicycles. We discussed the classification of scooters based on performance, the necessary protective equipment, and the correct usage for safe transportation. I tried to draw attention to the importance of following changes in traffic regulations, as the rules concerning these vehicles may come into effect soon.
