Human Rights Project in Nagybajom

Human Rights Project in Nagybajom

On the second Saturday of October, the Nagybajom 1 group began their project, which set out to achieve no less than laying the foundation of human rights knowledge for our youngest Csányi peers. In the first session, we tuned into the mindset necessary for the topic, exploring prior knowledge through personal experiences. The class followed a student-centered, discovery-based approach that incorporated elements of dialogic and Socratic teaching: the students were the main contributors and thought-provokers, while I facilitated their understanding of the basic concepts of human rights.

Alongside critical thinking, creativity also played an important role. The children worked in groups to create their own countries, establish the most important laws, and present them to one another.
