European Week for Waste Reduction
The European Week for Waste Reduction is taking place this year between November 22 and 30. This week offers an opportunity for us to rethink together how we treat the resources that surround us and how we manage the waste generated in our households.
The key theme this year is electrical and electronic waste, or e-waste; the reduction of its generation, along with the issues of recycling and repairing products, is perhaps one of our most pressing environmental challenges.
Yesterday, a waste management expert from the Somogy County Government Office visited the Kaposvár Community House, where he gave an interesting lecture to members of Groups 1 and 3 regarding electronic waste. This was followed by a quiz, and finally, the children compiled their knowledge about e-waste together to create a poster.
