Developmental lessons for Pécs Group 2
Even on the last weekend of the carnival season, life at the Community House in Pécs was not only about festivities. Despite the school carnival balls, our mentees arrived enthusiastically for the Friday session, which was led by drama pedagogue Marcell Szabolcsi.
During the drama lesson, the group participated in numerous community-building and individual development tasks. The children actively engaged in the games and, despite the fatigue of the week, ended the Friday session in a good mood.
On Saturday, the focus shifted to learning: Andrea Bálint-Orsós, a Hungarian language mentor, and András Bárdos, a mathematics teacher, held developmental lessons in Hungarian and mathematics. The sessions highlighted the challenges faced by students entering upper primary school and identified the main directions for further development.
Throughout the weekend, junior mentor Melodi Balla continuously assisted the group members with her conscientious work, contributing to the effectiveness of the sessions and the creation of a supportive atmosphere.
