Getting ready for the language exam

Getting ready for the language exam

On November 7–8, while preparing for the December language exams, the students of Pécs Group 3 not only practiced vocabulary and grammar rules but also got to know themselves better. The Friday foreign language project session and the Saturday self-awareness–logic project day were not only about knowledge but also about personal development for both Pécs Group 1 and Pécs Group 3.

Saturday began with Andi néni, who energized the students’ linguistic skills with a creative reading comprehension project session. However, the morning soon grew beyond textbook boundaries: next came the self-awareness drama class with Hanga, where the participants encountered themselves—and each other—through playful yet deeply personal exercises. The aim was not only to better understand their own functioning, but also to learn that every emotion has its place if it can be experienced in a safe, non-judgmental space.

The group filled out a personal questionnaire about risk-taking, then shared their answers and reflected together on the differences. The atmosphere was sincere, supportive, and inspiring at the same time. One of the most memorable parts of the morning was the “hot seat” game, where each student could take the center of the group—both literally and figuratively. The others’ questions helped the participant reflect more deeply on their motivations, feelings, and decisions.

The afternoon with Ádám focused on logical and strategic thinking. The “Music Box Scrabble” and various language games developed memory and associative skills in a fun way, while the mathematical magic square once again proved that logic and creativity go hand in hand. The highlight of the day was the Quorridor strategy board game championship—where victory belonged not only to those who thought ahead but also to those who found joy in playing together.
