Children’s Day at Ladybird Farm
For this year’s Children’s Day trip, we visited Katica Farm in Patca, near Kaposvár. We set off early in the morning, not yet knowing that a beautiful, sunny day awaited us. The journey felt long—perhaps because we were so excited. Some of our group had already been there on a school trip, so they told us all about the many fun games and attractions. Once we arrived and looked around, we were not disappointed.
There were giant slides—some ending in a pool of balls, others made for sliding down on a sack or a disc, and some so steep it felt like we were in free fall. There was also giant darts, chess, a shooting range, a huge castle, and trampolines waiting for us. One of the coolest attractions was a small lake, where we could pull ourselves across on a wooden raft. Of course, we got a bit wet—not entirely by accident—but in the summer heat, it felt refreshing.
Many of us also tried paddle boats, under the supervision of our mentors. For some, it was their very first time using such a vehicle. By the end of the day, we were all quite tired, and some even fell asleep on the bus ride home.
Once again, we spent a joyful, eventful day together. Thank you!
