Foreign language adventure
The first days of the autumn break were not about rest for enthusiastic language learners this year either: on October 27, the members of Pécs Group 1 and Pécs Group 3 once again proved that learning can be both exciting and meaningful.
The students of Pécs Group 3 threw themselves into preparing for their December language exams—through exercises, conversations, and situational practices, they honed their skills while the sense of community gave them extra motivation. Meanwhile, Pécs Group 1 explored the topic of sustainability in a foreign language. The participants enriched their vocabulary, gained new perspectives, and gathered plenty of inspiring ideas while discussing current issues such as eco-friendly lifestyles, recycling, and the possibilities of a green future.
As a special and heartfelt conclusion to the day, the groups came together to commemorate the 152nd anniversary of Dr. László Buday’s birth. They listened to their peers’ presentation prepared for the upcoming Buday Memorial Conference, and then jointly laid a wreath at the memorial plaque on the wall of the Pécs Community House.
