Senior Affairs Council in Jászberény
In order to support the elderly living in Jászberény, improve their living conditions, and promote their advocacy, a Senior Affairs Council has been established in the city, operating alongside and with the support of the local government.
At the invitation of Erzsébet Verseginé Utasi, municipal representative and President of the Council, the Csányi Foundation also introduced itself to the body.
Maja Sas, a member of the Jászság Group 4, spoke to the seniors about the Foundation and her own experiences within it, illustrating her talk with photos. The participants welcomed the young presenter with joy, as their goal is to get to know the young people, civil organizations, and associations living in the city. For many of them, connecting with younger generations is also important through their own children and grandchildren.
Strengthening the bond between the youth and the elderly is valuable for both age groups: young people learn empathy and a sense of community, while the elderly receive attention and support.
Congratulations to Maja for the high-quality introduction-the presentation was a great success among the more than seventy participants, who listened with interest to the young speaker and were happy to learn about the activities of the Csányi Foundation.
