Milestones achieved
“Our May project day was about self-realization. On this Saturday, Sanya Bá first held an individual and then a group discussion with us: we talked about the results of this school year and the importance of conscientiously fulfilling our tasks both at the Foundation and in other areas of life. Then, we received a complex task from our mentor, which we worked on in the computer room and consisted of three parts. We had to prepare two documents and a poster: for the written part, we had to think back to ourselves five years ago, and then take stock of how much we had developed in which areas. This, of course, included the results achieved and successful exams. For the second, we had to take stock of ourselves about what advantageous qualities we have that we consider to be above average, and what are the external or internal characteristics of ours that we are satisfied with. After completing these two documents, we called on artificial intelligence in various forms. Based on what we had described so far, we asked the AI what type of career and job would be best for us. We compared the results we received with our own ideas and most of the time they matched, although several people came up with possibilities they hadn’t thought of on their own. In the third part of the task, we had to turn an imagined future state of ours into a poster, according to the suggestions we received for our career opportunities, and where we would like to go, what we would like to do in, say, ten years from now, in other words, how we imagine our successful future selves. We also decorated some of the walls of our community center with the posters we made, so we will definitely be facing our own goals more often for a while. It was actually a useful day, because our vision of the future became more organized and we even had a lot of fun in the process” -Szentes 1st group supportees
