Learning to learn

Learning to learn

The fifth-grade students spent two days of the autumn break participating in a learning methodology training. The newcomers (“freshmen”) who have just joined the Foundation not only gained new learning strategies but also, from the very beginning, placed special emphasis on the following principles:

  • We learn by helping and accepting one another.

  • We treat our peers, teachers, mentors, and the Foundation’s staff with respect.

  • We focus our attention on the tasks we are working on.

  • We re-evaluate our system of values.

  • We develop our learning motivation according to our inner needs.

  • We set goals and break them down into smaller steps.

  • It is important to get to know ourselves.

  • We must learn to see the essence of things.

  • The way we express ourselves matters.

  • We refine our speaking and presentation skills.

  • Most importantly, we learn to work together in a way that allows everyone to flourish.

The two-day training took place in a cheerful atmosphere, and the newcomers began their hopefully long journey within the Foundation with great enthusiasm.
