Meaningful Dialogue at the Kaposvár Parents’ Forum
Elections also took place during the meeting. We owe special thanks to Ibolya Czene, a parent who supported both our close-knit and wider community with her dedicated work over the years. The baton has now been passed on to parent Orsolya Szabó. As a mentor, Angéla Vancsuráné Sárközi stepped down from her liaison role, which will now be taken over by Zsuzsanna Fenyő moving forward.
The forum first focused on the Guidance Festival. We shared our experiences of the event based on the children’s stories. It was a pleasure to hear the positive feedback, and we also discussed observations that could be valuable for future organization.
Next on the agenda was the topic of further education, as two groups are soon approaching the time to make decisions. Participants shared their experiences, concerns, and suggestions about how to support children during this important phase of life.
We also discussed the recently held Parents’ Academy, which took place over one of the past weekends. Feedback indicated that it was a useful and inspiring occasion, further strengthening the collaboration between families and the institution.
Last but not least, we focused on the balance between project-based work and development. Participants agreed that conscious planning and attention to the individual needs of children are key to ensuring that learning remains both effective and engaging.
The forum ended on a positive note, filled with valuable insights and renewed momentum. The issues raised may lead to concrete steps and collaborative solutions in the near future.
