The Balaton Adventures Continued
On January 31, Kaposvár Group 1 continued their documentary film project on the shores of Lake Balaton, in Balatonlelle. Balatonlelle was chosen because the Gastro Carnival (Gasztrofarsang) was being held there this very weekend. It was expected that many visitors would arrive, providing plenty of opportunities to approach people, ask them questions, and conduct interviews about the lesser-known face of Lake Balaton.
Throughout the day, the students conducted interviews and took photos of the lake. At that time, the lake was still icy; however, the ice was no longer considered safe, so stepping onto it was not possible. Despite this, the winter Balaton offered a unique sight, clearly showing its quieter side, which differs so much from its usual summer face.
In addition to the filming, the youth naturally visited the Gastro Carnival as well. They were welcomed by delicious aromas, a great atmosphere, and many smiling people, which made the interviewing process even easier. Overall, the students closed a meaningful day rich in experiences, from which everyone learned a lot-not only about documentary filmmaking but also about Lake Balaton and its people.
