Swimming Camp in Kaposvár
Today marked the start of the swimming camp for the Kaposvár Group 3. The children were already excited in the morning, eagerly waiting to finally get into the water. During the morning, we assessed their swimming skills and then reviewed the basics of swimming. The afternoon was all about fun – the children took full advantage of the facilities at the pool, sliding down the water slides, swimming, and playing ball games. We can consider the day a success, as by the evening the group was so tired that the walk back to the community house felt like a small hike.
Tuesday was just as eventful. The morning swimming lessons took place in the 25-meter pool, where the braver ones could also try the deeper section. After a delicious lunch, a variety of afternoon activities followed – the children could make bracelets, get glitter tattoos, and I introduced them to some of my favorite logic-based board games. There was also an opportunity to play football in the garden – everyone found something enjoyable to do. Wednesday started similarly to the previous days, but the children were already showing signs of fatigue from the earlier activities. After the morning training session – just like on Monday – the focus was once again on the pool. On the way home, it was clear that not only the sun but also the intensive swimming program had worn out the group.
