A Journey to Ourselves in Kaposvár
The members of the Kaposvár Group 1 stepped onto the path of self-awareness once again on Saturday, January 24. Nóra Nógrádi held a self-discovery session for the group. The visual world of Dixit cards helped the children put into words those feelings and thoughts that would otherwise have been difficult to formulate.
They explored the theme “Who am I?”: discovering who they are now, who they want to be in the future, and what path leads there. The goal of the session was to allow the children to reflect on themselves, their strengths, and the opportunities ahead of them in a safe environment. Several of them spoke with surprising honesty about their fears and dreams, which clearly showed how much they need these types of conversations. It was particularly touching to see the seriousness and attention with which they turned toward one another in these situations. As a university student, I am very proud of the children for being able to articulate such deep thoughts and feelings. They are grateful to be able to learn from us and that we welcome them into our trust at every meeting. It is also an educational experience for us to participate in these processes, as we gain new perspectives from the children every time.
