Echo

Echo

In the Déryné 6 Gallery, visual artist Dániel Nyers introduced himself on Tuesday with his first solo exhibition titled “Echo” (Visszhang) at the Community House of Jászság.

At the opening, Dr. Miklós Radoszáv, the operational director of the Csányi Foundation, emphasized: it is an important goal of ours to provide a platform for emerging talents as well. The exhibition was opened by painter Gábor Koncz, who has long been familiar with the creator’s work. The atmosphere of the evening was made even more elevated by the joint musical performance of two of the Foundation’s beneficiaries, Maja Sik and Tihamér Szereceán.

Dani grew up in Jászfényszaru, studied graphics in Eger, and graduated last year from the Visual Arts department of the Hungarian University of Fine Arts. His artistic work to date is extremely diverse and multifaceted, both in terms of techniques and conceptual approach.

“Echo” refers to repetition, remembrance, and the consequences of our actions. The exhibition includes video, photography, collage, and drawing, each following a strong concept. A recurring motif is the chair, representing human presence or absence, while the mirror evokes self-reflection and the tension between reality and appearance.

The artist’s works offer more than just visuals; they raise questions about truth, illusion, and the boundaries of reality, encouraging the viewer to reflect. The exhibition is open for viewing until March 5, 2026.
