27th Jász World Summit

27th Jász World Summit

Today we visited Jászdózsa with our group for the 27th Jász World Meeting. Every year the World Jász Meeting is held in a village in Jászság, and this year Jászdózsa was the venue. In the afternoon we arrived in Jászdózsa, which is not an unfamiliar place for our group, as we have a group mate from Jászdózsa. On our arrival, we went to the local primary school where we had the opportunity to see a collection of napkins. We were amazed to see how many different themes the person collects napkins on and how many different types of napkins there are on one theme. Our second programme was the photo exhibition, where we were proud to find the award-winning photo of our group mate Anna Sas Maja Sas. After that, we also visited the felt fairy tale figurine exhibition and had the chance to see various animal felt artworks. Afterwards, we visited the World Meeting site, where there were various activities (archery, running race, games, selfie wall), lots of fairground vendors and lots of people everywhere, all with the same goal: to participate in the World Meeting.

In the early evening, we attended a concert by the Chisinau Wind Band, which was much enjoyed by the members of the group. At 21:00 in the evening, the performance of the amateur performers from Jasdosa began, entitled “Serenade”. The performance included our group mate Fruzsina Simon Ramóna and Sándor Görbe. A truly delightful performance, reminiscent of the 1950s dance school with dance teachers, the spirit of youth and the chaperones. It was a truly delightful performance that was enjoyed by all.

The final event was a fire lighting ceremony on the banks of the Tarna, made even more exciting by the fiery arrows of local archers, which was a dazzling sight. Afterwards we headed home. I think I can speak for everyone when I say that we had a great time and we are very grateful to the Foundation for organising the 27th World Yassian Meeting.
