BEFORE THE DECISION – SELECTOR
On the first Saturday morning of February, there was a lot of urgency in the Community House in Jászberény. We held a career orientation day for the seventh-graders of Jászság Group 4 – with the 11th graders of Jászság Group 2 – as they will soon have to decide which secondary school they will continue their studies in. During the morning, we first heard from Zsuzsa Vida, the Foundation’s service officer, who provided detailed information about the enrollment and training system, as well as a lot of useful advice for the children. The decision is not an easy one and several aspects need to be considered. On this day, the children got to know three high schools in Jászberény. We were the first to watch the introductory short film of Szent István Sport Primary School and Gymnasium. Our second lecturer is our volunteer Kohogl-Nagy Boglárka, who studied at the same school. Bogi recalled with good heart his class teacher, who was always by his side and who influenced him to choose a teaching career. He said one of the benefits of this high school is the family atmosphere. In addition, Lídia Zsombók (J1) and Nikolett Juhász-Aba (J2) also shared their experiences, as they also studied in this grammar school. They both highlighted that their patient, kind teachers often ease learning difficulties.
This was followed by the presentation of Lehel Vezér High School, which is located next to the Community House. Fruzsina Székelyi (J2) told us in detail the experience of the last three years, why she likes to go to Lehel high school. In addition to the many colorful programs, he highlighted the high standard of training and the high number of students. Zsolt Kovács (J4) from the group is also studying at this grammar school in 8th grade, so we listened to how he sees high school.
The last institution is the St. Joseph Catholic Electronics Technical School, Gymnasium and College. In Jászberény, most of the young people from Csányi only go to the high school known as “Liska”, so we could get a lot of information about this school from group 2 of Jászság: Alexandra Hégete, Viktória Füle, Máté Sós, Tamás Burai, Péter Tálasi. After watching the school’s introductory short film, we learned from young people how much training there is at the school, how active sports and student life are, and what rules apply to students living in the dormitory. They also reassured the little ones that they could search for them at any time with their questions. “I found the career orientation day very useful. We were enriched with a lot of information, we got the exact “description” of everything. For me, this day improved my position, it was mostly the St. Stephen’s Grammar School that caught my attention. “Throughout the day, our main goal was to introduce our schools to our 7th grade peers so that in a year’s time it will be easier for them to overcome these obstacles and not stand aimlessly before choosing a career. We talked about the school life of the school, the teacher-student relationships, the trips, the joint programs, our personal experiences and what I think many people were interested in enrolling as it can be different from school to school. I was happy to tell them and they could contact me with any questions as I know how difficult this is. Their gleaming eyes were fixed on us when someone went out to give a lecture to them. In the second half of the day, the two groups continued to work in small groups. We are preparing feverishly for the Road to Life Day, so after the musical rehearsal of the big ones, they played the semi-final of the Jászság Group 4 e-sport with the little ones. In addition, applicants for the chess competition practiced in the library, those preparing for the ECDL exam studied in the IT room, while the others were introduced to the new board games. It was a pleasure to see everyone help someone, the bigger ones took the smaller ones under their wings.
Február első szombat reggelén nagy volt a sürgés-forgás a jászberényi Közösségi Házban. A Jászság 4-es csoport hetedikes diákjainak tartottunk pályaorientációs napot – A Jászság 2-es csoport 11. évfolyamosaival – hiszen hamarosan dönteniük kell, melyik középiskolában tanulnak tovább. A délelőtt folyamán elsőként meghallgattuk Vida Zsuzsát – az Alapítvány szolgáltatási referensét – aki részletesen elmondta a felvételivel és a képzési rendszerrel kapcsolatos információkat, illetve sok hasznos jótanáccsal látta el a gyerekeket. A döntés nem könnyű és több szempontot is figyelembe kell venni. Ezen a napon három jászberényi középiskolát ismerhettek meg a gyerekek. Elsőként a Szent István Sport Általános Iskola és Gimnázium bemutatkozó kisfilmjét tekintettük meg. Ebben az intézményben tanít második előadónk Kohári-Nagy Boglárka önkéntes, aki ugyanebben az iskolában tanult. Bogi jó szívvel emlékezett vissza osztályfőnökére, aki mindig mellette állt és akinek hatására választotta ő is a pedagógus pályát. Elmondta, hogy ennek a gimnáziumnak az egyik előnye, a családias hangulat. Emellett Zsombók Lídia (J1) és Juhász-Aba Nikolett (J2) is elmesélte a tapasztalatait, hiszen ők is ebben a gimnáziumban végezték (végzik) tanulmányaikat. Mindketten kiemelték, hogy türelmes, kedves tanáraik gyakran megkönnyítik a tanulás nehézségeit.
Ezt követően a Lehel Vezér Gimnázium bemutatása volt soron, ez az intézmény a Közösségi Ház szomszédságában található. Székelyi Fruzsina (J2) részletesen elmesélte nekünk az elmúlt három év tapasztalatait, miért szeret a Lehel gimibe járni. A sok, színes program mellett – kiemelte a képzés magas színvonalát, a továbbtanulók magas számát. A csoportból Kovács Zsolt (J4) szintén ebben a gimnáziumban tanul 8 évfolyamos képzésen, ezért meghallgattuk, hogy ő miként látja a gimit.
Az utolsó intézmény a Szent József Katolikus Elektronikai Technikum, Gimnázium és Kollégium. A Jászberényben csak “Liskaként” ismert középiskolába járnak legtöbben a csányis fiatalok közül, ezért erről a suliról is sok információt megtudhattunk a Jászság 2-es csoporttól: Hégete Alexandra, Füle Viktória, Sós Máté, Burai Tamás, Tálasi Péter. Az iskola bemutatkozó kisfilmjének megtekintése után, megtudtuk a fiataloktól, hogy milyen sokféle képzés folyik az iskolában, mennyire aktív a sport- és diákélet és milyen szabályok vonatkoznak a kollégiumban lakó tanulókra. Illetve megerősítették a kisebbeket abban, hogy kérdéseikkel bármikor kereshetik őket. Kellő alapossággal és részletesen mesélt minden gyermek a saját iskolájáról, amit ezúton is köszönünk a fiataloknak! Hábenciusné Balla Andrea mentor

“A pályaorientációs napot nagyon hasznosnak találtam. Rengeteg sok információval gazdagodtunk, mindenről megkaptuk a pontos “leírást”. Nekem ez a nap javított az álláspontomon, leginkább a Szent István Gimnázium keltette fel a figyelmem. Ahogy Niki, Lídia és Bogi felvázolták a programokat, az iskolai hangulatot, igazán jól hangzott. Köszönöm Andi néninek ezt a lehetőséget és persze a Jászság 2-es csoportnak.” Domján Letícia Jászság 4-es csoport
“A nap folyamán a fő célunk az volt, hogy megismertessük iskoláinkat a 7. osztályba járó társainkkal, hogy egy év múlva könnyebben vegyék ezeket az akadályokat és ne céltalanul álljanak majd a pályaválasztás előtt. Meséltünk az iskola diákéletéről, a tanár-diák kapcsolatokról, kirándulásokról, közös programokról, személyes tapasztalatainkról és ami szerintem sokakat érdekelt a felvételiről is, hiszen ez iskolánként eltérő lehet. Szívesen meséltem nekik és bármilyen kérdéssel fordulhatnak hozzám, hiszen tudom milyen nehéz ez. Csillogó szemeiket ránk szegezték, mikor valaki kiment, hogy előadást tartson nekik. Remélem többen kedvet kaptak az iskolámba járni, hiszen tényleg egy jó közösséget alkotunk.” Juhász-Aba Nikolett Jászság 2-es csoport
A nap második felében kis csoportokban dolgozott tovább a két csoport. Lázasan készülünk az Életút napra, ezért a nagyok zenés próbája után, a kicsikkel lejátszották a Jászság 4-es csoport e-sport elődöntőjét. Emellett a sakk versenyre jelentkezők a könyvtárban gyakoroltak, az ECDL vizsgára készülők az informatika teremben tanultak, míg a többiek az új társasjátékokkal ismerkedtek. Öröm volt látni, hogy mindenki segített valakinek, a nagyobbak szárnyaik alá vették a kisebbeket.
