Adventures in the digital knowledge centre in Kaposvár

– Can we stay here longer? For the next 60 years or so? – came the question from a member of Kaposvár Group 1 after a tour of the Digital Knowledge Centre in Kaposvár. The young students were fascinated by the technological wonders of the present day, where many of the fantastic achievements of the digital age were on display. And not just exhibited, the youngsters were also able to try out the amazing gadgets, and they were very enthusiastic about exploring them.

In no time at all, the artificially intelligent robot dog became a favourite, responding to petting, praise and even teaching. At another site, you could play the piano in the air without keys or pick up wooden blocks with a robotic arm. Young people were also interested in trying out the smart home set up in the room. Here, they discovered that a clever little device can even sing Happy Birthday when asked, but also change the colour and intensity of the lights on command.

The biggest hit was the virtual reality (VR) goggles, which took the youngsters to a completely different place, and allowed them to try virtual archery and drawing.

Our adventures will soon continue at the Digital Knowledge Centre in Kaposvár, where our little team was warmly welcomed.
