Tax law conference in Valencia

“I had the chance to take part in an international research on the field of taxpayers’ rights. I represented Hungary at EUCOTAX Wintercourse in Valencia in Subtopic 4 (Tax Collection and Taxpayers’ Rights). I made research about the protection of taxpayers’ rights in the tax assessment, tax collection, tax enforcement, and during the appeal procedure to the courts.13 countries take part in the project; EU Member States, the USA and Switzerland. From 31st of March to 7th of April we made a comparison of the results and we started to work on a group paper. By the end of that really intensive week, we made the draft of our group paper, which will be my first international publication. This document is actually a comparative law study that illustrates the similarities and differences between the tax systems of each country. We also had to make a presentation of our group paper which we performed on the last day. I am really thankful for the opportunity to participate in this project. It was an extraordinary experience; I learned a lot from working with students from different countries. I want to say special thanks to Dr. István Simon (Professor of Financial Law at Eötvös Loránd University) the supervisor of my paper.”
