Advent family day in Pécs
On the third Saturday of advent (Dec 10.) members and the parents of the three groups came together for the traditional family day celebration in the Pécs community house.
The tables are laden with fruits and homemade cakes and following the programs the gift packages and 2017 calendars and yearbooks are handed out.
Pécs 1
Luca and Kira have been playing the flute for years now and they surprised us with some Christmas songs. Then we were given the yearbooks which everyone opened immediately to look up the best events and remember. Then we received the calendar and gift package too. Then had a really great time with the other older members and celebrated in a truly Christmas spirit together. We thank the foundation very much for all the help and support we have received.
Pécs 2
This year’s Advent family day was the first in in P2 and everyone was looking forward to it with excitement. Barkóczy Zsombor, Zsagár Alexandra and Nyári Lajos welcomed the parents with Christmas songs, piano and clarinet music. They looked up themselves in the yearbook enthusiastically. Borsos Zsófia our new volunteer had the chance to meet the children whom she will work with all year. Everyone was amazed and grateful for the gift packages and all the help they had receives from the foundation.
The elders of the P2 group came together for the 9th time, traditionally making decorations and gifts. Beside chatting everyone was making some decorations happily. It was hard to say farewells as we see each other now rarely so everyone made the most of the time together.
Pécs 3
We surprised our families with a Christmas performance then it was all fun and games and chatting all afternoon until we got our yearbooks, calendars and gift packages. We are really grateful for all we have got, this day did bring us closer together, and closer to Christmas.
