A great day

A great day

On one hand, I was really curious because my favourite game is chess. On the other hand I was hoping that I will meet many famous people.

When my mentor, Judit Sziráki announced that she will take the youngest Csányi group from Jászberény to the Polgár sisters’ International Chess Festival to Budapest on 17th November 2012, I became very excited.

On one hand, I was really curious because my favourite game is chess. On the other hand I was hoping that I will meet many famous people. First of all I wanted to meet with the Polgár sisters. This became more exciting when I saw my name on the list on the Csányi Foundation’s website.

The topic of my entry was my favourite chess figure: the queen. As I wanted to express that chess helps us to think logically, it teaches us for discipline and endurance.

From Jászberény we left at 7 o’clock in the morning. The Syma Hall was full with children and adults from different countries, with lots of famous people. The day was spent in a really good mood. We played chess and took part on art lessons.

I liked the Chess-Box the most. In the afternoon the competition’s results were announced: I received my present from Judit Polgár, in front of lots of people. It was a pleasure!!! As a present I received a board game that gained the Gamer’s toy prize in 2011. I was very glad. After that the 100 board „szimultán” play started where the older students of the Foundation also took part. I was so tired when we got home but it was a unforgettabla experinece.
