Family Day in Nagybajom
On 16 September 2023, Groups 1 and 3 in Nagybajom held their annual Family Day. The programme was based on the idea of the Noszlopy memorial tour in 2020 and the Tour of the Lake District in 2021. In mid-September, on a beautiful autumn day, the Ötöshárs Reservoir once again provided a wonderful venue for the event. We marked out the route of the game along the dirt tracks and wildlife trails around the lake. The hike – which itself would have been a 4km, 40-minute walk – was interspersed with play stations. Our families competed against each other in the challenge. At the stations, students and older youngsters from the house welcomed the “contestants”. The playful quiz was independently structured and conducted by the young people under the guidance of Zalán Győző.
While our competing families wandered in the forest, lunch was prepared. Tünde Horváthné Varga welcomed the early arrivals with the opportunity to paint pebbles, and those who wanted to could also make paracord bracelets. We were delighted that our Founder, Dr. Sándor Csányi and the Chair of the Board of Trustees, Erika Csányi, also visited our event.
This was an opportunity for our families, children and students to spend the afternoon with them.
