Guidance Festival 2026

Guidance Festival 2026

April 23, 2026, Sports Day:

Our now traditional Guidance Festival has launched again this year, which continues to faithfully reflect the spirit of our Foundation: respect for traditions and continuous renewal. This year, the opening day was once again dedicated to movement and sports. The official opening of the event began at 2:00 PM, where—as we have come to expect—the series of events commenced with the festive welcoming speech of Operational Director Dr. Miklós Radoszáv.

The venue for the sports day was once again provided by Zánka, where exciting competitions organized by the Children’s Parliament awaited the participants. In addition to the Zánka Cup, young people could also test their skills in foosball, e-sports, and chess.

The highlight of the evening was again the final of the football championship, which brought immense excitement and an unforgettable atmosphere thanks to the live commentary by Prima Primissima Award-winning legend István Hajdú B. Following the final, a true nostalgia match took place: the dust was brushed off the classic green jerseys, and the Csányi Foundation Football Team once again clashed with the ALL STARS mentor team, made up of the Foundation’s staff, who always hold surprises.

April 24, 2026, Culture Day:

After yesterday’s sporting excitement, the second day of the festival was dedicated to the arts and creativity. There was already a great deal of bustle during the morning: rehearsals for the Poetry Podium and the Color Your World! competitions were in full swing. At the same time, the exhibition spaces came to life as a truly diverse cultural cavalcade was created. The exhibition of stunning photos, drawings, and paintings was made complete by the Mohács 500 and Maker’s Red Box workshop presentations, as well as Darts Math, where Pál “Penge” Székely gave a personal demonstration, the Jászkürt, and a special water-themed science workshop courtesy of the young scientists from Szeged.

During the afternoon, alongside the demonstrations, craft workshops also opened where children could create numerous creative works—there was an opportunity to make leather bracelets, keychains, printed canvas bags, and felted plushies, among other things: the only limit was the creators’ own imagination. Those who preferred to become the artwork themselves also found their place, as a team consisting of a master hairdresser, makeup artists, and a professional photographer provided them with a lifelong experience and uniquely great profile pictures.

In the evening, after the whirlwind of activities, the Color Your World! competition kicked off in a fantastic atmosphere. Among the members of the jury, we welcomed Dr. Erika Csányi, Chairwoman of the Foundation’s Board of Trustees, Dr. Lajos Aáry-Tamás, Commissioner for Educational Rights, music developer Elemér Fehér, drama pedagogue Valéria Skoda, actor Dániel Nizsai, amateur actor Milán Vajda (member of the Nagybajom 2 group), as well as Nadin Kuckó, former—and Boróka Süle, current—President of the Children’s Parliament.

Following the performances, the awards ceremony for this year’s Most Successful Students took place. We congratulate them once again!

April 25, 2026, Gala Day:

We welcomed our guests from 10:00 AM to present the Foundation’s two decades of activity and the achievements of our beneficiaries. The workshops, laboratories, exhibitions, and the children working within them awaited the visitors. Additionally, from 10:30 AM, our guests could listen to the performers of the Poetry Podium—who were selected during the Poetry Festival in February—and from 11:30 AM, they could participate in the pre-announced simultaneous chess exhibition with Kata Karácsonyi (Jászság 2 group), where interested guests and the winners of the Foundation’s chess championship could sit down to play against the Woman International Master.

At the opening of the afternoon Talent Stage, Dr. Sándor Csányi welcomed our guests and beneficiaries.

The Attila Ágoston Prize was awarded again this year, which was won by the Budai Egészségközpont in the category of regular supporters of the implementation of the Guidance Program. In the category of beneficiaries completing the Guidance Program in an exemplary manner, Andrea Kalla (Jászság 2 group) and Adriána Kalafszky (presidential framework beneficiary) received the recognition. In the category of those performing the implementation of the Guidance Program at an outstanding level, mentor Tamás Oláh-Berecz (Jászság 2 group), English language developer András Szabó, and volunteer mathematics-chemistry teacher Ibolya Tihanyi received the award for their many years of supportive-developmental work. We congratulate them once again!

During the program, the Ambassadors’ awards, elected by the Children’s Parliament, were also presented. We congratulate Hanna Szép (Mohács 1 group), Balázs Huber (Mohács 1 group), Fanni Lili Sebesi (Szentes 2 group), Tímea Magyar (Kaposvár 2 group), Ádám Papdi (Szeged 2 group), and the Jász-Stones team!

This year, the Foundation community bid farewell to 9 individuals who, like their predecessors, could say goodbye to their younger peers on stage. On their behalf, Ádám Nógrádi (Kaposvár 2 group) and Martin Móczó (Szeged 1 group) not only gave a farewell speech but also held a very special professional presentation.

Naturally, those who are just now stepping into the Guidance Program for the first time also presented themselves; we welcome the little ones from Nagybajom, Pécs, and Szentes. We wish the fifth graders much success and millions of experiences, and the oldest ones a huge “go for it” for the next stage of their lives!

To close the two-hour event, we took the traditional group photo with the Board of Trustees and our beneficiaries.

We thank all our Supporters, Trustees, Colleagues, Development Teachers, Volunteers, and all our Guests for allowing our Beneficiaries to prove that over more than twenty years, we have been able to show the world what we are capable of together!
