Theatre

Useful day off before the Hungarian Matura Exam (4th June).

As contemporary Literature is getting more popular in high schools, we find the poetry nights in the Csiky Gergely Theatre in Kaposvár very important and useful. We’ve been enthusiastic viewers and listeners of these events for years. Yesterday evening we listened to three authors’ plays. The special thing about these theatrical forms is that the actors are acting with the script in their hands and the directors are sitting in the auditorium. It was a bit like watching a rehearsal. The plays were very interesting. Babett is a teenage girl, who causes a tragedy with her constant lying. In the bus stop we get to know the hard life of a drug addict. The last play was about today’s world’s corruption. We spent half a day in the theatre, it was a marathon event. After this, we’ll be able to talk about contemporary literature more easily.
