Final Round of the Football- and Chess Championship in Kaposvár
“This weekend, the football championship organized by the Children’s Parliament reached another milestone, with the spring round held at the Klebelsberg Dormitory in Kaposvár. The event was particularly important for the participants, as the championship announced for the school year concluded on this day. The players were preparing excitedly even before the start, with everyone striving to perform in their best form. The teams participating in the tournament took to the field with sportsmanship and great enthusiasm.
The event was opened by the greeting of the President of the Children’s Parliament, who emphasized fair play competition and the importance of sports. This was followed by the matches, during which those present could see exciting and eventful clashes. As on previous occasions, the matches were officiated by Ádám Papdi, a beneficiary of the Szeged Community House.
At the end of the day, the results were aggregated, where the points from the autumn and spring rounds together determined the final ranking. During the formal award ceremony, the best-performing teams and players received prizes. We will see you soon in Zánka at the Guidance Festival, where players can compete against each other within the framework of the Zánka Cup.” – Nadin Kuckó, Nagybajom Group 1

“During the spring session of the Children’s Parliament, decisions had to be made on numerous issues. Boróka Süle, the President of the Children’s Parliament, opened the session, welcomed the members who gathered in great numbers, and before the agenda items, began with the updating of new and old members. This year’s team-building event was discussed, about which we decided that, if possible, we would hold it in Siófok or in one of the Community Houses. Then, the membership jointly made a decision regarding this year’s ambassadorial awardees, which was not easy to decide on, and the participants also brainstormed regarding the jury of the Life Path Festival. Boróka highlighted the upcoming application deadlines, e.g., the application for the Sports Camp (April 15). Once again, we have completed a productive consultation; we will continue the work during the Guidance Festival.”
